It is estimated that between 50%-88% of human trafficking victims have interactions with health care professionals during their trafficking situation. This is a program designed to meet the educational needs of the health care provider audience. Upon completion, the participant should be able to:
• Describe the signs, symptoms, and warning flags of possible human trafficking victims
• Utilize interviewing strategies to assess, identify, and promote the ethical treatment of trafficking victims
• List the reporting protocols and the recommended protocols for assisting victims
• Describe various educational, prevention, mental health, legal, and social services interventions, and responses available to human trafficking victims
